How to purchase a BESST flipchart
What is BESST?
The Baby's Easy Safe Sleep Training (BESST) is a free, "Train the Trainer" opportunity designed to increase SIDS risk reduction awareness and promote safe sleep practices among parents and caregivers of children ages 0-12 months.
Who Should Take BESST?
We welcome health professionals, health educators, childcare providers, hospital staff and others working with parents and caregivers of young children to participate.

Upon completion of the training and after passing the quiz that follows, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. If you work in North Carolina you will also be eligible to purchase a BESST flipchart and a packet of print materials for $30. (the cost is $100 without completing the training.)
Continuing Education Credit (Currently unavailable)
CHES: Approved for 1.5 total entry-level Category I continuing education contact hours. Cost $10. To receive credit, you must submit your CHES number on the BESST evaluation. Upon completion of the BESST training, you will receive a link to pay for the credit. Once we have received your payment we will send your CHES Certificate of Attendance by email.
Nurses: Approved for 1.5 total continuing nursing education contact hours. Cost $10. Upon completion of the BESST training, you will receive a link to pay for the credit. Once we have received your payment we will send your Certificate of Completion by email.
To purchase a BESST flipchart for $30:
- You must work in North Carolina
- You must pass the BESST online quiz with a score of 100%
- You must complete the online evaluation and upload an action plan
If you do not work in North Carolina we will award you the certificate of completion, but you must purchase the flipchart at the full cost.
